Acacia cognata Green Mist is a shrub grown for its attractive foliage and form. It has soft, weeping, lime green foliage and grows as a spreading mound. Small, pale yellow, ball shaped flowers are produced in spring. It typically grows to 1 m tall and the same wide, performing best when grown on a well-drained site in full sun or partial shade. It is frost tolerant and will grow well in coastal environments though does benefit from having wind protection. Acacia Green Mist is commonly maintained in a container, included in a border or mixed planting, or planted around outdoor living areas. It looks outstanding when mass planted and allowed to spill over walls, paths, and the like. This is a lovely plant that will provide year-round pleasure.
