Red Vein Indian Mallow

The Red Vein Indian Mallow, Abutilon striatum, is a handsome, evergreen shrub with showy, orange, bell-shaped flowers with prominent red veins from spring through autumn. The flowers are adorned with dark green, maple-like foliage held on slender, graceful stems. It typically grows to 1.2 m tall and the same wide and can be trimmed as necessary. This lovely plant will grow equally well in full sun or partial shade and is tolerant of moderate frost and cool climates, though it will tend to be deciduous in such environments.
