Abutilon palmeri (Indian Mallow) is a handsome, evergreen shrub with showy, yellow-orange flowers from spring through autumn. The flowers are adorned with lush green foliage held on slender, graceful stems. It typically grows to 1.2 m tall and the same wide and can be trimmed as necessary. This lovely plant will grow equally well in full sun or partial shade and is tolerant of light frost only. Abutilon palmeri (Indian Mallow) is commonly included in mixed plantings, maintained in a container, used as a backdrop for smaller plants, planted around outdoor living areas, or included in cottage gardens.
