Abutilon megapotamicum variegata, commonly known as Trailing Abutilon, Brazilian Bell Flower, or Flowering Maple, is a graceful shrub with slender stems that bear showy, lantern-shaped flowers. The red and yellow flowers are produced from spring through autumn. The leaves are variegated with dark green and yellow, and blend nicely with the flowers. It typically grows to about 1.2 m tall and the same wide and responds well to trimming which encourages fresh, new growth.
