Sedum mexicanum 'Gold Mound' (Stonecrop) Details

“Gold Mound” is a variety of Sedum grown for its colourful foliage and creeping growth habit. It forms a carpet of small and succulent, golden leaves. These are held as clusters on stems that creep across the ground to spring up new clusters. Clusters of tiny, yellow flowers are borne through summer. It typically grows to 15 cm tall and 30 cm wide, performing best when planted in full sun on a well-drained site. It will tolerate light frost only but will survive extended dry periods. “Gold Mound” is commonly grown in a container, used in rock gardens, or grown along the edge of a path where it can spill out. It is also well suited to planting around outdoor living areas.
