Rose 'Remember Me' Standard

How to grow Rose 'Remember Me' Standard in NZ

Grow Rose 'Remember Me' Standard in a sunny position with fertile, free draining soil and good airflow. Plant so the root ball sits level with the surrounding soil, then water deeply to settle the roots. Keep the soil evenly moist while the plant establishes, particularly through warm and dry weather. Apply a layer of organic mulch around the base while keeping it clear of the stem. Stake the standard securely to prevent wind damage and check ties regularly. Rose 'Remember Me' Standard can also be grown successfully in a large container with quality potting mix.

Rose 'Remember Me' Standard care tips

Rose 'Remember Me' Standard benefits from regular feeding, watering, and pruning to maintain healthy growth and strong flowering. Apply a specialised rose fertiliser in spring and repeat during the growing season according to label directions. Water deeply during dry periods, directing water to the soil rather than the foliage where possible. Remove spent blooms to encourage repeat flowering. Prune in winter to maintain a balanced rounded head and remove weak, damaged, or crossing growth. Keep the standard securely staked and monitor for common rose pests and diseases so any problems can be treated promptly.

Rose 'Remember Me' Standard size, spacing, and growth rate

Rose 'Remember Me' Standard is trained as a standard rose with a clear stem supporting a rounded flowering head. Overall height will depend on the height of the grafted stem, but established plants commonly reach around 1.2 to 1.5 m tall with a head approximately 60 to 90 cm wide. Space plants around 80 cm to 1 m apart to allow good airflow and room for the canopy to develop. Growth is moderate during spring and summer, with regular feeding, watering, and pruning helping maintain a dense, balanced head and strong flowering performance.

Landscaping uses for Rose 'Remember Me' Standard

Rose 'Remember Me' Standard is ideal for entranceways, patios, formal gardens, pathways, courtyards, containers, and feature planting. Its clear stem and rounded flowering head create useful height without taking up excessive ground space, making it particularly effective beside doors, along paths, or in matching pairs.
