How to grow the Peace Rose Standard in NZ

Plant in full sun with fertile, free-draining soil enriched with compost. Water deeply once or twice a week during dry periods and mulch around the base to retain moisture. Apply a balanced rose fertiliser in spring and midsummer to encourage strong flowering. Support the stem with a stake to keep it straight and stable. Prune in winter to maintain the head shape and remove any dead or damaged wood.

Peace Rose Standard size, spacing, and growth rate

Standard Peace Roses generally reach a total height of 1.2–1.5 m including the stem, with a rounded head about 60–80 cm wide. Maintain a distance of at least 1 m between plants when planting in rows or garden beds.
