The Loving Memory standard rose is a Hybrid Tea variety that features showy, velvet red flowers. The fragrant blooms emerge in spring and continue until autumn provided the spent flowers are removed. The foliage comprises small-sized, dark green leaves which provide a lovely backdrop to the flowers. This standardised rose is grafted at 80 cm and results in a plant that typically grows to 1.3 m tall and 50 cm wide. It is generally pruned each winter with about 75% of the aerial stems removed. It grows best when planted in full sun on a well-drained, sheltered site, and is tolerant of frost and cool climates. It also has very good disease resistance. The Loving Memory standard rose is commonly included in a mixed planting, included in cottage, courtyard, or formal gardens, planted to border an entrance, or included anywhere the beauty and fragrance can be appreciated.
