Rose School Girl
“School Girl” is a climbing rose that produces masses of apricot coloured flowers with a touch of pink. The showy blooms from spring through autumn are fragrant and complemented with glossy, dark green leaves. This deciduous shrub will grow to 4 m tall and the same wide but is often contained to much smaller sizes with heavy pruning in winter. Best results with this variety are achieved when it is grown on a well-drained, sheltered site in full sun or partial shade. It is tolerant of frost, cool climates, and short periods of dry. “School Girl” is commonly trained onto trellises, fences, or other support structures. It also looks impressive when allowed to sprawl across the ground and is often added to cottage gardens.
