Verbena erinoides Lipstick
“Lipstick” is an herbaceous perennial grown for its showy clusters of vibrant, hot pink flowers. The flowers are produced from late spring through early summer and sporadically through the rest of the year and are held above the fine, dark green foliage. It grows densely to about 15 cm tall and 80 cm wide, performing best when planted in full sun on a well-drained, frost free, sheltered site. “Lipstick” is commonly used as a groundcover or included in borders where it can spill out onto a path or the like. It is also well suited for hanging baskets, container growing, and planting around outdoor living areas. In cooler areas it is often treated as an annual and replaced each year.
