Thymus pulegioides, commonly known as Broad-Leaved Thyme and Large Wild Thyme, is an herbaceous perennial with leaves that are lemon scented and a fresh green colour. It produces fragrant, soft pink flowers through summer as it grows to just 15 cm tall and 25 cm wide. Thymus pulegioides is commonly included in an herb or cottage garden, planted between pavers or rocks, used as a groundcover, or allowed to trail over a wall or the like.

Thymus pulegioides Details

Thymus pulegioides, commonly known as Broad-Leaved Thyme and Large Wild Thyme, is an herbaceous perennial grown for both its foliage and flowers. The leaves on this evergreen are lemon scented, small, and a fresh green colour. It produces masses of fragrant, soft pink flowers through summer which are great for attracting butterflies and the like. It grows to just 15 cm tall and 25 cm wide, performing best when planted on a well-drained site in full sun or partial shade. Thymus pulegioides is commonly included in an herb or cottage garden, planted between pavers or rocks, used as a groundcover, or allowed to trail over a wall or the like.
