Solidago Goldenrod is an herbaceous perennial that features a rich display of bright yellow flowers through summer. The clusters of “fluffy” flowers sit neatly above the green foliage and are great for attracting butterflies and birds. It typically grows to 80 cm tall and 60 cm wide, performing best on a well-drained, sheltered site in full sun. It is frost hardy once established, can grow on a wide range of soils including clay, and will tolerate extended dry periods. Solidago Goldenrod is ideal for mixed plantings, cottage gardens, borders, or container growing. A mass planting really suits this plant and gives a very rewarding display.
