Senecio Angel Wings is an herbaceous perennial grown for its unusual and soft, grey foliage. It produces large leaves that are covered in fine felt, and irresistible to touch. It grows as a clump to about 30 cm tall and 40 cm wide, performing best when positioned in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained site. It is hardy to light frost once established as well as short periods of dry and coastal environments. Senecio Angel Wings is well suited to including in borders and mixed plantings, maintaining in a container, including in cottage or Mediterranean gardens, or for planting around outdoor living areas such as pools and barbecue areas. Landscape designers will often use the grey colouring of this plant to contrast with darker plants. It is a quick growing and very rewarding plant.
