Saliva Waverly, commonly known as the Waverly Sage, is grown for its rich display of flowers from summer through autumn. It produces long and slender flower spikes with small, light pink flowers. The flowers sit neatly above the mid-green foliage and are great for attracting butterflies and birds. All parts of the plant are aromatic and produce a lovely fragrance when crushed. It typically grows to 90 cm tall and 1.5 m wide, performing best on a well-drained, sheltered site in full sun. It is frost hardy once established and does require good levels of moisture during dry periods. Salvia Waverly is commonly included in a mixed planting, used in cottage gardens, grown around outdoor living areas, or planted to attract butterflies and bees. A mass planting on a bank or the like suits this plant and gives an amazing display.
