Salvia Silver Sabre is a variegated Sage that is grown for its variegated foliage and colourful flowers. It features a rich display of cream and green foliage which becomes adorned with rose-pink flowers through summer. The flowers sit neatly above the green-blue foliage and are great for attracting butterflies. It typically grows to 40 cm tall and 60 cm wide, performing best on a well-drained, sheltered site in full sun. It is frost hardy once established and does require good levels of moisture during dry periods. This variegated sage is edible and is ideal for herb gardens, mixed plantings, cottage gardens, borders, or container growing. A mass planting on a bank or the like really suits this plant and gives an outstanding display.
