Salvia Blue Angel is an herbaceous perennial grown for its rich display of flowers from summer through autumn. It produces long, slender, flower spikes with small, dark blue flowers that are very striking. The flowers sit neatly above the dark green foliage as it grows to 40 cm tall and the same wide. Blue Angle sage is ideal for herb gardens, mixed plantings, cottage gardens, borders, or container growing.

Salvia Blue Angel Details

Salvia Blue Angel is an herbaceous perennial grown for its rich display of flowers from summer through autumn. It produces long, slender, flower spikes with small, dark blue flowers that are very striking. The flowers sit neatly above the dark green foliage and are great for attracting butterflies and birds. It typically grows to 40 cm tall and the same wide, performing best on a well-drained, sheltered site in full sun. It is frost hardy once established and does require good levels of moisture during dry periods. Blue Angle sage is ideal for herb gardens, mixed plantings, cottage gardens, borders, or container growing. A mass planting really suits this plant and gives a very rewarding display.
