“Raspberry Splash” is an herbaceous perennial that features masses of pink and purple, bell shaped flowers in spring. These are held above the lush green foliage which is spotted with cream. It will remain evergreen in mild climates but may die back in cold climates to regrow in spring. Regardless, it typically grows to 30 cm tall and 50 cm wide, performing best when planted in full sun on a well-drained site. It is tolerant of moderate frost and some shade but should not be allowed to dry out. “Raspberry Splash” is commonly included in rock gardens, added to border plantings, grown in a container, or mass planted either as a groundcover or on a bank. This aesthetic plant is easy to grow and very rewarding.
