Stairway To Heaven Plant

The Stairway to Heaven plant is a popular variety of Polemonium due to its amazing foliage and flowers. This clump forming, herbaceous perennial produces lush, fern-like foliage, that is variegated green, cream, and pink. During spring it produces masses of showy, fragrant, light blue flowers in clusters atop 25 cm tall stems. It typically grows to 60 cm tall and the same wide, performing best when grown in full sun on a well-drained, sheltered site. It will tolerate moderate frost and cool climates, and in these environments may die back to regrow again when conditions warm. The Stairway to Heaven plant is commonly included in cottage gardens, used in borders, mass planted on a bank, planted around outdoor living areas, or maintained in a container.
