Polemonium 'Stairway to Heaven'

How to grow Polemonium 'Stairway to Heaven' in NZ

Polemonium 'Stairway to Heaven' grows best in full sun or partial shade with fertile moisture retentive soil enriched with organic matter. Choose a cool sheltered planting position protected from harsh afternoon sun and drying winds to preserve the attractive foliage colouring. Water regularly during establishment and through dry periods to maintain healthy foliage and flowering performance. Applying mulch around the base helps conserve moisture and improve soil conditions while suppressing weeds. This perennial performs particularly well throughout New Zealand in temperate regions with cooler growing conditions.
