Paeonia Shirley Temple

Peony

"Shirley Temple" is a variety of Peony grown for its beautiful and fragrant flowers. The showy, double flowers are white with pink undertones, and are borne above the lush, green foliage through late spring and early summer. This variety will grow to 80 cm tall and 70 cm wide, but is often cut back to near soil level each winter. Best performance is achieved when it is positioned in full sun on a well-drained, sheltered site. It is tolerant of short periods of dry, frost, and cool climates, though will generally die back in such conditions to regrow in spring. "Shirley Temple" is commonly included in a mixed planting, planted around outdoor living areas, or used in cottage gardens.
