Penstemon Vanilla Plum

“Vanilla Plum” is an herbaceous perennial grown for its colourful and dainty flowers. It produces upright stems carrying numerous bell-shaped, purple and white flowers from summer through until autumn. The flowers provide amazing beauty and are great for attracting birds and butterflies. The foliage comprises fine, mid-green leaves which sit neatly below the flowers. It will tend to be evergreen in warmer climates but may die back in colder climates to regrow again in spring. It typically grows to 50 cm tall and 30 cm wide, performing best when planted on a well-drained, sheltered site in full sun. It will tolerate a mild frost and requires constant moisture during dry periods. “Vanilla Plum” is perfect for including in a mixed or border planting, adding to a cottage garden, or mass planting for an outstanding display.
