Paeonia Moscow

Peony

"Moscow" is a variety of Patio Peony and is grown for its beautiful flowers and short stature. The showy, semi-double red flowers with a yellow centre are borne above the lush, dark green foliage through late spring and early summer. This variety will grow to 50 cm tall and 40 cm wide, but is often cut back to near soil level each winter. Best performance is achieved when it is positioned in full sun on a well-drained, sheltered site. It is tolerant of short periods of dry, frost, and cool climates, though will generally die back in such conditions to regrow in spring. "Moscow" is commonly included in a mixed planting, grown as a potted plant either indoors or out, planted around outdoor living areas, or used in cottage gardens.
