Mazus Matapouri Bay, commonly known as Swamp Musk, is a creeping, herbaceous perennial that forms thick patches of mottled green-brown-leaves. It typically grows to only 5-10 cm tall and 50 cm wide. In spring it produces single, white and purple flowers with a yellow throat. This plant grows best in full sun or semi-shade conditions along the fringes of wet or swampy areas. It will grow well in better soils provided they are not allowed to dry out.
