Iris Low Ho Silver

“Lo Ho Silver” is a variety of Dutch Iris that features silver-white flowers with yellow beards. The showy blooms are borne on sturdy stems from late spring above the lush foliage. This perennial typically grows to 40 cm tall and the same wide with the flowers standing up to 80 cm tall. It performs best when positioned in full sun on a well-drained site and is tolerant of short periods of dry, frost, and cool climates. It will generally die back during these times to regrow when conditions start to warm. “Lo Ho Silver” is commonly included in cottage gardens, planted around outdoor living areas, used in border plantings, or planted around the base of deciduous trees and shrubs. A mass planting is a must with this variety to give impact and bulbs should be spaced 15 cm apart and planted 8-10 cm deep with the pointed end facing up.
