Kohleria hirusta, commonly known as the Woolly Flowered Tree Gloxinia, is a shrub grown for its foliage and flowers. It produces small, tubular, red-orange flowers through summer. These are produced at the ends of stems which also host lush green foliage tinged with purple. It typically grows to 1 m tall and 70 cm wide. Kohleria hirusta is commonly included in borders and cottage gardens where it is usually treated as an annual.
