Hosta 'Pizzazz'

How to grow Hosta 'Pizzazz' in NZ

Hosta 'Pizzazz' grows best in partial shade or full shade with fertile, well drained soil that remains consistently moist. Incorporate compost before planting to improve soil fertility and moisture retention. Water regularly during establishment and throughout dry periods. Apply mulch around the base each spring to help conserve moisture, suppress weeds, and maintain cool root conditions for healthy vigorous growth.

Hosta 'Pizzazz' care tips

Hosta 'Pizzazz' is easy to maintain with regular watering during prolonged dry weather and a spring application of quality slow release fertiliser. Remove damaged or ageing leaves to keep the plant looking tidy and cut back the foliage after it naturally dies down in autumn. Inspect for slugs and snails during spring to protect fresh new growth from damage.
