Hosta Lemon and Lime is grown for its yellow and lime coloured foliage. The leaves are heart shaped and have a somewhat wavy appearance. This herbaceous perennial will grow to about 30 cm tall and 40 cm wide, and in cold climates it may die off during winter to regrow again in spring. It grows best in a full sun or partial shade position on a well-drained, sheltered site. It is tolerant of moderate frost and cool climates but should not be allowed to dry out. Hosta Lemon and Lime is commonly used as a ground cover, added to borders, maintained in a container, included in tropical and cottage gardens, or mass planted on a bank or the like.
