Hosta 'Krossa Regal'

How to grow Hosta 'Krossa Regal' in NZ

Hosta 'Krossa Regal' thrives in partial to full shade with fertile, well drained soil rich in organic matter. In NZ, it performs best in sheltered areas protected from hot sun and strong winds. Prepare the soil with compost before planting to improve moisture retention and structure. Keep the soil consistently moist but not wet, especially during summer. Applying mulch will help maintain even moisture levels and protect the roots.

Hosta 'Krossa Regal' care tips

Hosta 'Krossa Regal' is low maintenance and rewards with lush foliage when well cared for. Water regularly during dry periods to keep leaves looking fresh. Feed in spring with a general fertiliser to support strong growth. Remove old or damaged leaves to keep the plant tidy. Watch for slugs and snails which can damage the foliage. Divide clumps every few years to maintain vigour and expand your planting.
