Hosta June is grown for its blue leaves that have an irregularly shaped cream-gold centre. Bell-shaped, lilac flowers appear during summer and are held neatly above the foliage. These are followed by seed heads that attract birds. This herbaceous perennial typically grows to 60 cm tall and 40 cm wide and in cold climates it may die off during winter to regrow again in spring. The Hosta June plant is commonly used as a ground cover, added to borders, maintained in a container, included in tropical and cottage gardens, or mass planted on a bank or the like.

Hosta June Details

Hosta June is grown for its blue leaves that have an irregularly shaped cream-gold centre. Bell-shaped, lilac flowers appear during summer and are held neatly above the foliage. These are followed by seed heads that attract birds. This herbaceous perennial typically grows to 60 cm tall and 40 cm wide and in cold climates it may die off during winter to regrow again in spring. It grows best in a full sun or partial shade position on a well-drained, sheltered site. It is tolerant of frost and cold climates but should not be allowed to dry out. The Hosta June plant is commonly used as a ground cover, added to borders, maintained in a container, included in tropical and cottage gardens, or mass planted on a bank or the like.
