Hosta Brim Cup is a stunning variety that features dark green leaves that have a cream-white edge. Bell-shaped, purple flowers are borne and held neatly above the foliage during summer. These are followed by seed heads that are great for attracting birds. This herbaceous perennial will grow to about 40 cm tall and 60 cm wide, performing best when planted in full sun on a well-drained, sheltered site. In cold climates it may die back during winter but will regrow again in spring. The Brim Cup Hosta is commonly used as a ground cover, included in border plantings, grown in a container, planted around the pool or barbecue area, or added to tropical and cottage gardens. A mass planting will give an impressive display.
