Heuchera 'Paris'

How to grow Heuchera 'Paris' in NZ

Heuchera 'Paris' grows best in a position with morning sun or partial shade and moist, free draining soil enriched with organic matter. Prepare the planting area with compost to improve fertility and drainage. Water regularly during establishment and maintain consistent soil moisture during dry periods. Avoid planting in areas that remain waterlogged, as excessive moisture can affect root health. A sheltered location will help maintain healthy foliage and encourage prolific flowering throughout the growing season.

Heuchera 'Paris' care tips

Heuchera 'Paris' is easy to maintain and requires only minimal care. Remove old or damaged foliage as needed to keep the plant looking tidy and attractive. Apply a balanced fertiliser during spring to support healthy growth and abundant flowering. Water during extended dry periods, especially for container grown plants. Removing spent flower stems can encourage continued blooming and improve appearance. Dividing mature clumps every few years helps maintain vigour and ensures the plant continues performing at its best.

Heuchera 'Paris' size, spacing, and growth rate

Heuchera 'Paris' typically grows to around 0.25 to 0.35 m tall, with flowering stems reaching approximately 0.45 m. It spreads to around 0.35 to 0.45 m wide and develops into a dense mound of attractive foliage. This variety has a moderate growth rate and establishes quickly under favourable conditions. Space plants approximately 0.35 to 0.4 m apart when planting in groups or borders. Proper spacing encourages healthy airflow and allows the foliage and flowers to be displayed effectively.

Landscaping uses for Heuchera 'Paris'

Heuchera 'Paris' is ideal for borders, woodland gardens, container displays, and mixed perennial plantings. The silver toned foliage provides attractive contrast against green shrubs and flowering plants, while the bright pink flowers add vibrant seasonal colour. This variety is particularly effective when planted in groups where the flowering display can be fully appreciated. It also performs well beneath trees, along pathways, and around outdoor living spaces where long lasting colour and texture are desired.
