Hemerocallis Violet Eye Shadow is a variety of the commonly known, Day Lily, and features very showy flowers. The impressive, cream-coloured blooms with a purple centre are only at peak condition for a day or so, but are continually produced through summer. They are held above the strap-like, green leaves which serve as a lovely backdrop to the flowers. It typically grows to 60 cm tall and the same wide, performing best when planted in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained site. It is tolerant of frost, cool climates, dry periods, and moderate wind, and may die back during winter but will regrow again in spring.
