The impressive blooms are apricot coloured, and only at peak condition for a day or so, but are continually produced through summer. They are held above the strap-like, green leaves which serve as a lovely backdrop to the flowers. It typically grows to 40 cm tall and the same wide, performing best when planted in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained site. It is tolerant of frost, cool climates, dry periods, and moderate wind, and may die back during winter but will regrow again in spring. Hemerocallis Apricot Dream is commonly mass planted as a groundcover, planted around the base of larger trees, included in borders, or added to a mixed planting.
