“English Thoroughbred Series” are a selection of Hellebores that feature amazingly coloured flowers. They bear showy flowers through winter and spring in a range of colours ranging from pinks, purples, and black-purple. These are held on upright stems above the lush, dark green foliage. This herbaceous perennial grows as a clump to about 30 cm tall and the same wide, performing best when planted in full sun on a well-drained, sheltered site. It has a root system that enables it to regrow again in spring if cold conditions or frost kills off the foliage. “English Thoroughbred Series” Hellebores are an ideal plant for cottage or tropical gardens, for mixed and border plantings, or planting to provide winter colour.
