Gypsophila Pink Star is a variety of Gypsophila that forms a mat of grey-green leaves and bears masses of pink flowers in summer. The small flowers are attractive to butterflies. This herbaceous perennial will grow to about 15 cm tall and spread 60 cm wide. It grows best on a well-drained site in full sun or partial shade and will tolerate dry periods. Gypsophila Pink Star is commonly included in rock gardens, used as a ground cover, allowed to cascade over walls, grown in a container, or used for edging. It is often grown as an annual and replanted each year.
