Geranium Purple Passion is grown for its foliage and delicate flowers. This herbaceous perennial carries soft looking, dark green-purple leaves. As cooler weather sets in the leaves develop purple tones and some leaf fall may occur. The foliage is adorned with pretty, dark pink flowers from spring through autumn. The flowers are about 4 cm across and light pink with dark pink veins. It typically grows to 30 cm tall and 60 cm wide, performing best when positioned in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained, sheltered site. It is tolerant of moderate frost and coastal environments. Geranium Purple Passion is commonly used as a groundcover, included in borders, added to rock gardens, grown in a container, or mass planted for an impressive display.
