Geranium magnificum is grown for its foliage and delicate flowers. This herbaceous perennial carries soft looking, mid-green leaves. The showy flowers produced from summer through autumn are single, light blue with darkened veins. It typically grows to 50 cm tall and 60 cm wide. The spreading and dense nature of Geranium magnificum makes it ideal as a groundcover but it is also suited to border planting, rock gardens, borders, cottage garden, and growing in a container.

Geranium magnificum Details

Geranium magnificum is grown for its foliage and delicate flowers. This herbaceous perennial carries soft looking, mid-green leaves. The showy flowers produced from summer through autumn are single, light blue with darkened veins. It typically grows to 50 cm tall and 60 cm wide, growing best in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained, sheltered site. This Geranium is tolerant of moderate frost, dry periods, and shade. The spreading and dense nature of Geranium magnificum makes it ideal as a groundcover but it is also suited to border planting, rock gardens, borders, cottage garden, and growing in a container. The most stunning displays are produced with mass plantings.
