Geranium Bertie Crug is an herbaceous perennial grown for its lush foliage and pretty flowers. Masses of small, pink flowers are borne through summer above the dark green foliage. The leaves will often develop red tones as the cooler weather sets in. It grows as a low mound to about 20 cm tall and 60 cm wide, performing best when planted in full sun on a well-drained, sheltered site. It is tolerant of short periods of dry and light frost only. Geranium Bertie Crug is commonly included in borders, rock gardens, and cottage gardens. It also suits being grown in a container or mass planted which will give an impressive display. Allowing it to trail over a wall or rock also provides for a spectacular show.
