Gazania Montezuma is grown for its abundant and vibrant flowers. This variety bears large, daisy-like flowers that are a mix of cream, yellow, and red. These are borne from spring through summer above the lush, mid-green leaves. It typically grows to 30 cm tall and the same wide, performing best when positioned in full sun on a well-drained, sheltered site. This herbaceous perennial is hardy to moderate, coastal conditions, and dry periods. Gazania New Day Red Stripe is perfect for growing in a container, including in borders or mixed plantings, including in cottage gardens, or mass planting as a groundcover or on a bank. In frost prone areas it is often grown as an annual and replaced each year.
