Crocosmia crocosmiiflora features amazing orange flowers held on wispy stems. The showy and long-lasting blooms are borne as clusters during summer. They are complemented with lush, grass-like foliage. The flowers result in seedpods in autumn that are great for attracting birds. This bulbous plant typically grows to 80 cm tall and 50 cm wide, and performs best when positioned in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained site. It is tolerant of dry periods, frost, cool climates and may die back during these times to regrow when conditions start to warm. Crocosmia crocosmiiflora is commonly included in cottage gardens, planted around outdoor living areas, or mass planted on a bank.
