Canna Tropicanna Details

Canna Tropicanna features lush foliage coupled with impressive flowers. The leaves emerge a bright, burgundy colour and mature to become variegated with red, pink, yellow, and green stripes. Stems rise above the foliage in summer carrying large and showy, bright orange flowers. This herbaceous perennial will grow to about 1.2 m tall and 70 cm wide. In cold environments the plants may die back during winter but will regrow again as temperatures warm in spring. Canna Lilies grow best on a well-drained, sheltered site in full sun or partial shade. They are tolerant of light frost and moderately heavy soils. Canna Tropicanna is commonly included in tropical gardens, grown indoors as a potted plant, planted alongside a water feature or around outdoor living areas, or simply included in a mixed planting. Mass plantings are both stunning and very rewarding with this variety.
