Canna Tropical Sunrise is a variety of Canna Lily grown for its impressive flowers and foliage. In summer it produces spikes, up to 1.2 m tall, carrying showy apricot-coloured flowers. The leaves are large, mid-green, and provide a fresh-looking backdrop to the flowers. It grows as a clump and typically reaches 1.2 m tall and 1 m wide. In cold environments the plants may die back during winter to regrow again in spring. Canna Lilies grow best on a well-drained site in full sun or partial shade. They are tolerant of cold environments and wet soils. Canna Tropical Sunrise is often in tropical gardens, as a houseplant, planted alongside water features, added into mixed plantings, or planted in wetter areas. A mass planting is both stunning and very rewarding.
