Canna Red King Humbert Details

Canna Red King Humbert is grown for its impressive flowers and foliage. In summer it produces tall spikes carrying masses of red-orange flowers. The spikes may reach 1.5 m tall as they rise above the foliage. The leaves are large and purple with a green hue and complement the flowers nicely. It grows as a clump and typically reaches 1.2 m tall and 1 m wide. In cold environments the plants may die back during winter to regrow again in spring. Canna Lilies grow best on a well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade though they are generally tolerant of cold environments and wet soils. Canna Red King Humbert is commonly used in tropical gardens, grown in a container, planted alongside water features, added to mixed plantings, or included in wetter areas. A mass planting is very rewarding.
