Canna Firebird

Canna Firebird features impressive, red flowers which are held on a solid stem above the foliage from spring through autumn. The leaves are upright, large, and dark green and complement the flowers wonderfully as it grows to 1.2 m tall and 1 m wide. Canna Firebird is commonly used in tropical gardens, grown in a container, planted alongside water features, added to mixed plantings, or included in wetter areas. A mass planting is very rewarding.

Canna Firebird Details

Canna Firebird is a variety of Canna that produces bold flowers and foliage. It features impressive, red flowers which are held on a solid stem above the foliage from spring through autumn. The leaves are upright, large, and dark green. It grows as a large clump and typically reaches 1.2 m tall and 1 m wide. In cold environments plants may die back during winter to regrow again in spring. Canna Lilies grow best on a well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade though they are generally tolerant of cold environments and wet soils. Canna Firebird is commonly used in tropical gardens, grown in a container, planted alongside water features, added to mixed plantings, or included in wetter areas. A mass planting is very rewarding.
