In cold environments plants may die back during winter to regrow again in spring. Canna Lilies grow best on a well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade though they are generally tolerant of cold environments and wet soils. Canna Australia is commonly used in tropical gardens, grown in a container, planted alongside water features, added to mixed plantings, or included in wetter areas. A mass planting is very rewarding.
