Bergenia 'Snow Cloud'

How to grow Bergenia 'Snow Cloud' in NZ

Bergenia 'Snow Cloud' grows best in full sun to partial shade with moist but well drained soil. It adapts readily to a range of soil types and performs successfully throughout New Zealand. Water regularly during establishment and during extended dry periods to maintain healthy foliage and flowering. Adding compost before planting improves soil structure and moisture retention. Applying mulch around the base helps conserve moisture, suppress weeds, and support healthy root development throughout the year.

Bergenia 'Snow Cloud' care tips

Bergenia 'Snow Cloud' is easy to maintain and requires little ongoing care once established. Feed in spring with a balanced fertiliser to encourage strong growth and abundant flowering. Remove spent flower stems after blooming and trim away damaged or ageing leaves to keep plants looking tidy. Water during prolonged dry periods if required. Its hardy nature and attractive foliage make it an excellent choice for gardeners wanting year round interest with minimal maintenance.

Bergenia 'Snow Cloud' size, spacing, and growth rate

Bergenia 'Snow Cloud' typically grows to around 30 to 40 centimetres tall and 40 to 60 centimetres wide, forming a dense clump of evergreen foliage. Growth is moderate, with plants gradually increasing in size over time. Space plants approximately 40 to 50 centimetres apart when mass planting or creating borders.
