Aubrieta Royal Blue, commonly known as Rock Cress, is grown as an attractive groundcover. It forms a low carpet of dark green leaves and becomes covered in small, light blue flowers for several weeks through spring as it grows to about 20 cm tall and 40 cm wide. Aubrieta Royal Blue is commonly planted along the edges of paths, around rocks, or grown in a container. It also makes for an effective groundcover with a mass planting.
