Astrantia major, commonly known as Masterwort, is an herbaceous perennial grown for its impressive flowers. Pin cushion like balls of showy, white flowers rise above the foliage during spring and summer. The lightly scented flowers are held on slender stems above the mid-green leaves. This plant will grow to about 60 cm tall and the same wide, performing best on a well-drained site in a full sun or partial shade position.
