Astilbe Gloria is an herbaceous perennial grown for its impressive foliage and flowers. Interesting sprays of fluffy, violet-pink flower plumes are produced above the foliage during spring and summer. These contrast nicely with the dark green foliage which emerges red-bronze and ages to the dark green. It grows as a clump to about 60 cm tall and 40 cm wide. Astilbe Gloria is a favourite for shaded areas of the gardens, maintaining in a container, planting alongside walkways, including in mixed plantings, adding to cottage gardens, or mass planting for a great display.

Astilbe Weisse Gloria Details

Astilbe Gloria is an herbaceous perennial grown for its impressive foliage and flowers. Interesting sprays of fluffy, violet-pink flower plumes are produced above the foliage during spring and summer. These contrast nicely with the dark green foliage which emerges red-bronze and ages to the dark green. It grows as a clump to about 60 cm tall and 40 cm wide, performing best when planted in a partial shade to full shade position on a well-drained, sheltered site. It is tolerant of boggy ground, light frost only and should not be allowed to dry out during summer. Astilbe Gloria is a favourite for shaded areas of the gardens, maintaining in a container, planting alongside walkways, including in mixed plantings, adding to cottage gardens, or mass planting for a great display.
