Fall Aster, Michaelmas Daisy
'Royal Ruby' is a variety of Aster that features semi-double, deep-red, daisy like flowers. From summer through autumn this Aster produces a proliferation of both flowers and colour. It grows as bushy clump growing to about 50 cm tall and the same wide. In cool climates it will die back during winter to regrow again when conditions warm. Best performance is achieved when grown in a sunny position on a well-drained site. 'Royal Ruby' is commonly included in borders or grown in a container. This is a favourite for autumn colour and is a great flower for cutting and drying.
