Artemisia dracunculus, commonly known as Tarragon, is a perennial that has narrow, highly aromatic leaves. It produces small, pale yellow flower heads in summer which nod downwards. Plants will typically grow to 1 m tall and 50 cm wide. Artemisia dracunculus is commonly included in border plantings, grown in a container, planted around the barbecue area, or grown as a low, informal hedge. Tarragon is an easy-care plant that provides both visual and culinary appeal.
